At the end of January, we celebrated Isabella's 9th birthday.  We told Isabella she could could eat anywhere she wanted.  We could go downtown for Indian, Thai, Chili's, sushi.  The sky was the limit!  She chose ManChu Wok at the base food court.  I really wanted her to choose Indian.

Since we decided we'd only do a birthday party everyother year, this was a low key affair.  Dinner at ManChu Wok and dessert at Chili's with the obligatory birthday song sung by the Korean staff.  It always reminds me of the last scene in a Christmas Story with the Chinese guys singing Christmas carols.

Isabella got lots of things from her loving family at home and abroad.  Pajamas...

clothes for her American Girl doll.

Happy Birthday baby.  We love you so much!

 You are awesome!!!!!

Yogi continues to be a joy to relax around.

Our friend Mat visited from Okinawa.  He is my favorite kind of house guest:  low maintenance.  He even suffered through hours of us playing Mario Kart.

Maybe he had TOO much fun.

Isabella is running for a spot on the 3rd grade student council.

The whole family pitched in except for me who was taking pictures.  I'm told her speech in front of the third grade was very well.

One night we had dinner with some friends at Cp. Humpreys.  It was great fun until our host decided to move the party to the local club on post.  Then I couldn't wait to get home.  I hate dancing and I hate people trying to make me dance.  Everyone else had a good time though.
